RDFR Speed Controls are used in bomb disposal and Combat 'bots to perform the "speed, direction and steering functions" all in ONE controller box, for both the right side and left side powertrains. These vehicles are powered by separate electric motors for the right and left drive. Also for Twin Screw boats combined with physical rudder for manueverability. Only two R/C channels, one to command throttle speed and direction, and the other for steering. Each RDFR unit has two forward / reverse speed controls coupled together. When used with a spring centered joy stick, HANDS OFF is stop, UP stick is straight ahead, and DOWN yields backwards. Pure right or left twirls the vehicle as the motors turn in opposite directions. In between stick positions are completely proportional, including reverse. Independent modes are also available. Compatible with DC PM brush motors and most model R/C systems, including Futaba.

RET Speed Controls are basic controllers for scale boats and smaller robot applications. They provide fully proportional Forward and Reverse control without troublesome relays. They use older but proven analog control algorithms with modern PWM speed control. Available with simple aluminum P=plate mount, or fancy finned H=heat sink version. Compatible with DC PM brush motors and most model R/C systems, including Futaba.

For dual differential applications with right / left motors use the newer RDFR family specifically designed for that purpose.
